I have thought about doing some sort of blog or online compilation of “stuff” mainly to download thoughts and stories from my brain.  I guess this is as good of a place as any to start doing that.  I make no claim to be a good writer or have the eloquent vocabulary to expect what I do here to chain the world.  Let’s face it.  In these first few sentences, I have relied on the spell check to correct me.

My goal for this site/blog is to encourage others.  To share the stories of my/our journeys  through life.  I would encourage you to do the same thing.  We are not meant to walk through life alone.  We are all here together.  I may have walked a path that you are now walking.  Let me try to help you by showing how I crawled over boulders, crossed over caverns, swam across rivers, or hung on for dear life when the mountain seemed to steep to climb.

Did I do it all right?  Probably not.  In fact, I can pretty much guarantee there is a better way.  The old saying goes, “Hindsight is 20/20”.  I am sure there are times that I crawled over a boulder only to look back and see that I could have walked around, or dove in to swim across a river only to see the bridge just upstream.  If sharing some of my journey can make yours a little easier, I have accomplished what I have set out to do.

When I started putting this together, I thought a bit about the theme of what I wanted to accomplish.  The phrase “Journey Together” came to mind. The thought that we are all on a journey and we are better off helping each other along the way really made sense to me.  I started digging into what to use as a logo, and thought climbing a mountain is a pretty accurate depiction of a journey, and since I currently live in the Smokey Mountains of East Tennessee, that is rather fitting.  I wanted an image with 3 mountains to represent my family – my wife, my son, and me.  To give credit where credit is due, I got the logo from freepik.com.

I guess this will have to do for an introduction post.  I’ll probably look at it again later and find something wrong, or something that I need to edit.  I will strive for being accurate – with the information I post as well as grammatically – but I will probably get some stuff wrong.  I can pretty much state up front I will get stuff wrong.  When I find that stuff, I’ll correct it. At the end of the day, I hope the most accurate thing portrayed is the intention of my heart.

My sincere gratitude and love for all that take the time to journey together with me in life or by just reading what I have to say.

Chris
